What is your presentation about?
Putting it all together—real-life cases to illustrate challenges and strategies to manage postprandial glucose.

What makes this topic important in 2022?
We make choices of what and when and how much to eat every day for many reasons including hunger, timing, proximity to food, social norms, and emotional regulation. For PWD this impacts postprandial glucose. As providers we want to empower PWD with education, behavioral strategies and medication regimens that support food choices and meet postprandial glucose expectations.

How did you become involved with this area of diabetes research or care?
Pattern management is an exciting area of diabetes care and education as it helps people understand how their body is responding to food choices. This is integral in fostering a healthy relationship with food and body.

What are you most looking forward to at the 82nd Scientific Sessions?
I most look forward to connecting with peers and learning new perspectives and approaches to diabetes care challenges. I hope to return to clinic energized and equipped to continue to support PWD.
